How do you know if you have covid without taking a test?

Started getting a sore throat yesterday, today got a headache, sore throat, body aches and just starting getting chills.

I haven't gotten a cold in a long time and it's weird because its been warm here.

I have had a couple colds in the past couple years, but relatives vaxxed twice tested positive for covid. Go figure.

Why do you presume it is covid, and why should you care?
