How do you know if you have covid without taking a test?

Started getting a sore throat yesterday, today got a headache, sore throat, body aches and just starting getting chills.

I haven't gotten a cold in a long time and it's weird because its been warm here.

If you have a test just use a cotton swab?

Ya. Some people here claim the virus doesn't exist. Then some post things like I'm replying to about the swab being a carrier for the infection itself.

It seems no one here is in agreement on covid.
