its because india wouldn't allow iphones to be sold in its country unless apple set up manufacturing in india. india buys a few mobile phones and apple didn't want to lose out. i wouldn't read much into it, its not moving out or away from china its just apple taking advantage local laws to sell into a market while diversifying its supply chain a bit.
