I have noticed that there are several stories about cheating in competitions in the past few weeks. Is this a gentle push by white hats to put catching cheaters in the minds of the sheeple?

It was chess, poker and now fishing. Methods were vibrating devices ( chess and poker) lead weights ( fishing) . I think there may be some coms that I am missing.
