My aunt fostered a few kids and adopted one. And she loves that kid with all her heart. If anything, the kid is spoiled as hell, but is happy now and doing well. Not everyone who fosters/adopts is evil or exploitative, but yeah, the system needs to be repaired or rebuilt.
