You have to ask yourself, if this was a medical emergency or health issue, would they have chucked her into the van?

They absolutely would have chucked her (IMO of course) She was in the middle of a campaign. An arrest would have been done quietly with a scheduled 'surrender' in private. Remember the time frame with the DS using her as their candidate, also, she was in liberal NYC.
