You may be taking these clips out of context. There WAS a Jewish celebration at Solder's Field in 1933, it was staged to show 1,000 years of Jewish history, and to celebrate 100 years of Jewish presence in Chicago from 1833 to 1933. Here is a description of events:
And of course, any representation of Jewish history would necessarily include the sect of Moloch, which was OUTSIDE the walls of Jerusalem and Leviticus tells us the Jews were forbidden to worship.
So I'm just a Tennessee mountain lad, born and raised in the Southern Baptist Church, and this was rather easy for me to find. I think these clips are merely to show what the Jews had to contend with in their history, and NOT a representation of who they are.
I’m currently reading through Jeremiah in the Bible and we’re about halfway through. There’s been MANY times where Israel had been called out for passing their sons and daughters through the fire for Moloch.
This entire “play” seems completely plausible based on past history of Israelites.
According to the Talmud (a jewish scripture), it's permissible for jews to give their children to molech as long as the child isn't passed through the the fire.

It's like they saw the verse that said "You are not to sacrifice any of your children in the fire to Molech" (Leviticus 18:21).... and found a loophole -- "hmmm. it should be okay to sacrifice kids to molech as long as they're not passed through the fire".
