Looking at a map, I see Russia is pretty much landlocked. Interesting the pipeline runs through that Baltic Sea area and any submarine attackers would have to squeeze past Denmark to get back into the North Sea. It’s kind of a one way street.
Where did the Russian sub launch from? Which way would it go? My bet, the North Sea. Because there’s nowhere else for the pipeline attackers to run away too.
But North Korea just launched a missile the other direction past Japan.. what were they shooting at? How fast can these subs move? Did they run up through the arctic sea and make a run to the East? Very interesting…
There is a Russian submarine base on the Kola peninsula near Murmansk. Clear sailing into the Arctic Ocean. A combat submarine is not equipped for underwater detective work. And it is far from a nimble customer in shallow littoral waters like the Baltic Sea.
North Korea launched its missile in nearly the only direction available to it, because it would be all kinds of bad news to launch it east (Russia or China).
The two are only calendar coincidences. There is no connection between them. Somebody, somewhere was born that day. Somebody, somewhere died that day. Somebody farted. Somebody got a windfall. They were all coincidences. But they were not connected.
