Same, when did you stop listening? Never donated either. I became grossed out w NPR when they started using hosts with extreme annoying whiny Jewy voices, the millennials took over, Money Matters had Cardi B as a guest.
I started off listening to "This American Life" when I was in the US like 2 decades ago. They used to bring stories from far corners of the country, some of them really heart warming and inspiring.
Then the shift happened so gradually I did not even notice it for a while. Slowly the narratives were "Founding Fathers were evil", "US has racism problem", "Poor illegal immigrants" and so on. I must give it to them, they knew how to do it.
We have a saying that if you are selling milk to the town, and each day you take out drops of milk and replace it with water and increase it one drop a day, eventually you will be able to sell water to the town. Thats exactly how it was.
A few years ago there was a point where I hadnt caught up for a couple months, and when I was catching up I was trying to find the best episode similar to the older ones and then I realised there were none of those. All crap. All pushing an agenda. I didnt even know there was an overarching agenda at that time.

I find that my life is a lot more serene if I ignore NPR and the rest of the lefty media, which is pretty much all of them.
