Arrow Air had a crash in Newfoundland after the first desert war. The DC8 was carrying returning US Army soldiers. The jet crashed after takeoff killing all. The wreckage was bulldozed into a trench in a day or 2 after without any investigation. The "official" story was ice on the wings. I have 4,000+ hours flying DC8s. They can fly with ice but they would never have taken off without having a clean wing.
