If we think (and there have been numerous posts here to support this idea) that all major banks are going to fail because of over-investing in derivatives, what should we do if we have money in those banks? Pull it out in cash? Convert it to silver or gold? Put the cash under our mattress? And will cash be worth anything?
So if we have cash in checking or savings with a bank, how can we protect our assets?
Yes I know that God is ultimately in charge. But we also have to be prudent. After all, the parable of the Master, his servants, and entrusting them with 'talents' in his absence comes to mind. The best servant protected and even GREW the master's talents. Economics is not some made-up thing that we can dispense with.... it is an integral part of the human existence. Trade and barter has always existed in the human experience, going way back before ancient Sumer and Babylon.
So I'm just posing a question here regarding what we should do with our 'talents' (or in this case, dollars) if we think a collapse is coming.
