So, my 45-year-old friend died (I’m almost certain from the poison shot). It’s very sad as he was wicked smart, super funny (acerbic sense of humor), and a loyal son, brother, and uncle. He was also a raging liberal, but I adored him.
Anyway, I looked at his number on my phone for past text messages, etc. Everything is TOTALLY BLANK! All our humorous correspondences and funny photos dating from several years ago are GONE! THEY want us BLANK — like we never existed. So the point of this post is to SAVE everything. Save and print anything sentimental —every photo, email, text, and all music that is on your phone and computer. Furthermore, save your books, CDs, albums, etc. I’m shocked, but not so shocked. Sorry for the rant! Love to you and yours!
Sorry to hear about your friend.
Earlier this week, someone with an Apple phone (new to Apple) shared that his text images disappeared. He showed me text messages where there was only a placeholder where the images should be. His wife said Apple deletes them after 30 days, so you have to download any pictures you want. Not sure if that's accurate, but there are several websites saying that one of the updates created this bug. Haven't had that problem with Android, but I do generally download pictures I'm sent.
Wow! ThanQ so much for this information, fren. TwistedTrees, I think I will soon convert to an android…and then, eventually, a rotary!
