just take what they say with a grain of salt, keep to your 48 hour rule, look to others and dig in yourself a bit... any platitudes they say are meaningless. such as " nothing can stop what is coming " Folks sniffed them out long ago and to my knowledge they never admitted they were wrong and/or apologized

that's my two cents at least.
