So since a 12 yo is supposed to be able to "consent" to sexual abuse and bodily mutilation, I guess it is ok that they can fight in wars and buy AKs and ARs, right? Why not?

Either the concept of adults PROTECTING children until their post-pubensce and legal majority means something, or it does not. Carving out "exceptions" to allow them to be subject to use by others is bold-faced perversion.
