Revelation 2:9
“I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.”
God of the Old Testament is the same as the new. The Bible usually gets misinterpreted and doesn’t make sense to people who don’t search it out and read it for themselves. Read Ezekiel 8, it describes the spirit of God taking Ezekiel under Gods temple to reveal what the priests and elites were doing in secret(sound familiar with what’s taking place currently?). God knows this and he specifically shared it with us so we wouldn’t all act astonished and blindsided saying the word of God is a lie, or even to the point where we look at the Spanish Inquisition and say “look! that’s what Christian’s do, Christianity and the word of God is a lie!”
Jesus said “do not be deceived”. That is a command of personal accountability. Discernment begins with reading and understanding the Word of God and the wisdom it contains.
As for the slave class remark. You should look into the reason the gospel was transcribed into Latin and with held from the slave class. Historically its truth has the opposite effect on keeping slaves submissive.
Not quite, God calls them out specifically.
