Esther risks her life in approaching the king (death to approach king Xerces II without leave) to stop the planned annihilation of all Jews in the kingdom. Her cousin says as a Jew, she’ll die for certain if she doesn’t approach him to ask for justice against Haman’s annihilation edict. She dons sackcloth, ashes, and dung and prays for 3 days before she cleans herself up and approaches the king. Since she won a beauty contest to become his concubine/queen, she cleans up real good, and he understands her plight, kills shaman, and sends out a follow-up edict that allows the Jews to defend themselves when attacked. The dates of the original edict and the self defense edict are the basis for the Jewish holiday of Purim.
Going threw the Bible in a year, and this was covered last week.
Juan did a two-part long lecture on Purim and the Book of Esther (the 17th book of the Old Testament, btw). One was on Spaceshot76's channel, the other on Jennifer Mac's channel. I'm sure they're both findable on Rumble. I found them to be very interesting and very remiscent of what is currently happening in our world. The two together are LONG, but I found them to be so worth the time.
