Read it all, drawing is quite poor, same goes for the plot. All it has going for it is the ultra-violence. Want something better to show your teenager relatives/siblings ? I personally reccomend Demon Slayer- Kimetsu no Yaiba ( it preaches the importance of family as the strenght to keep us moving foward) and One Piece ( fighters taking out against the power structures, cabals and mafias of this world to bring it to a glorious dawn of freedom).
Based on a long line of violent, psychological thriller-type anime and manga that have been pumped out the past decade or so (Attack on Titan comes to mind, as does Tokyo Ghoul), I'm not at all surprised at the hype for this.
Looking for drama, comedic elements, optimism despite the bad, and strength to overcome obstacles? Full Metal Alchemist would be my recommendation.

Time to call Tanjiro
Dude there's a bunch of anime that's easily as fucked up as that. Like have you even heard of Redo of Healer?
I know there's plenty of ridiculously screwed up anime.
But they usually don't have this much marketing or supposed mass appeal.
12 gage man trumps chainsaw man.
Watch some G-Force to get it out of your mind.
