Back then, he was still contributing to democrats' campaigns. I don't hold that against him, as he woke up, saw what was happening to this country, and stepped up to the plate to do something about it. In fact, I hold him in much higher esteem, for being able to walk away from previous thinking and take the socially unpopular and difficult road.
