In Canada, Euthanasia is a boom in the short term because they can free up hospital beds by killing the patients. However, for the long game, the elites like Euthanasia because once someone is no longer useful to them, they can kill them off so they don't use up any more resources. A lot of the leftie policies are geared towards efficiently enslaving the general populace for the benefit of the elites with no respect for human life.
With respect to "trust the science", that's just a catch phrase used to convince the brainwashed masses to do something that is against their best interest. You can be sure that anything attached to that phrase is actually really bad for the people being convinced to trust it because if it wasn't the would be able to show the benefit and people could be convinced by that to act in their own best interest. The only science in "trust the science" is that if you follow what the people saying it are telling to do, scientifically whatever happens will be good for them and really bad for you.
With respect to the education system, it is now entirely an indoctrination system. It is difficult for me to believe that some one with PHD is even competent in their area of expertise if they can't see the truth of what is happening in the world. Maybe they just have really narrow tunnel vision where they're good at their area of expertise but horrible at everything else. That isn't a good thing. It makes them a dumb person overall. It's difficult to say whether a PHD or any degree these days mean anything anymore. If I was hiring a person and all I know about them was that they had a PHD, as far as I am concerned, I don't know anything about them. On its own that degree is meaningless.
