Correction; The RNC picked Pence because of the Evangelical vote. The RNC cut a deal with Trump that if they endorsed him for their presidential candidate, he must go with their chosen VP candidate.

You see, even if Trump was the most popular (and by numbers) the best pick for presidential candidate in the primaries, the RNC DOES NOT have to endorse that candidate. The RNC could've chosen another candidate like Cruz, Rubio, Jeb Bush, etc.

I do agree that Gabbard will not be Trump's 2024 running mate.
