Because the powers to be want to cheat and keep the "sheep" in the dark while doing it. Light needs to be shown on the entire election process and NO CURTAINS ever should be drawn over the counting rooms.
As far as the lottery tickets......who knows if there really is a winner? Seems to me that the media could just hype the idea that a ticket had been drawn and someone won. But who really knows. Has any GAW members ever know someone who won the Mega Millions or the Lotto?
I had suspected that lottery numbers were chosen algorithmically to minimize payout. A reasonable assumption when they replaced the televised drawing with a computer animation. But last time I checked that seems incorrect. The drawings are/were public complete with weighing the balls and stuff. So if they are rigging the balls they would also need to rig the scale. Or the bin could be loaded with an unequal distribution of numbers.
The irony is that winning the lottery is not the ticket (ha) to a carefree life. Many of these people end up broke or dead. Hmm. Plausible since many people who spend big on the lottery aren't good at math.
If I ever won a bazillion dollars from the Lotto, the very first thing I'd do is to take one million of it and bury it in an accessible place. If I ever lost the remainder then at least I'd have a million to fall back on. Why is it that when a poor person wins the first thing they do with the money is purchase a nonsensical car, jewelry, stupid artwork, or any thing which does not fall within their current lifestyle? Hey, I understand upgrading a vehicle, but why purchase a Bentley when a Ford will work as well? Yea, I know the real answer to that question, but it just always makes me scratch my head as to the stupidity of mankind.
