The sundial belonged to the Srubna or Srubnaya culture, a Late Bronze Age society. It is believed that the sundial was placed on top of the grave to mark the final resting place of a young man sacrificed or otherwise marked as a messenger to the gods or ancestors. The skeletons of the dead are normally found lying in a crouched position on their left side. The heads are often facing the East, whilst the legs and arms are bent, with the hands in front of the face. A ceramic pot was often placed near the head of the deceased, possibly for ritual purposes. Although the dead were usually buried in kurgans, numerous single buried skeletons have also been found within the vicinity of the houses for the living. It has been suggested that these skeletons belonged to the victims of foundation rituals.

Look closely at the artifact. There are multiple images of Symbolism we know to represent evil endeavors.
Scythians came first. The Khazars were not a monoculture, but a confederation of tribes that included Turkic, Iranian, Slavic, Hunnish and Scythian tribes. So....ya, kinda.
DNA study of Scythians: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/314261314
Conclusions Sequence data from whole mt genomes indicate three potential mtDNA lineage ancestries of the NPR Scythians. The first component traces back to west Eurasian hunter-gatherers and is represented by the lineages belonging to subdivisions of haplogroup U5. The second component is composed of mt lineages connected with Neolithic farming expansion into Europe (H, J, T, W and N1b). The last ancestral mt lineage component is comprised of east Eurasian haplotypes belonging to D, A, F1, H8 and M10 which point to association of the NPR Scythians with east Eurasian populations, in particular from the Altai region. A comparison of NPR Scythian mtDNA lin- eages with other ancient groups suggests close genetic affinities with representatives of the Bronze Age Srubnaya population, which is in agreement with the archaeological hypothesis suggesting Srubnaya people as the ancestors of the NPR Scythians. However, to provide additional genetic support for this hypothesis data from nuclear genomes are needed.

A team has discovered a culture using sophisticated gilding techniques on the Eurasian steppe grasslands of present-day Russia, dating from 1850-1700 B.C. at the beginning of the Late Bronze Age.
These people learned to (sic) covered pendants with a foil no more than one-tenth of a millimeter thick made of an alloy of gold and silver known as electrum. While the overall gold content of the foil is less than silver, through depletion gilding ancient Eurasian metallurgists were able to manipulate the concentration of gold on the outer surface to make the ornaments look like solid gold.
These were people associated with the Srubnaya/Srubna/Srubnik culture. They mined copper and produced metalwork regularly on a small scale even though they were not members of urban civilizations that are more commonly associated with such early technologies
Before these findings, this type of gilding method had only been found before in the Andes and in Mesopotamia
