This is truly awful but its not just insulin. 2 months ago one of my meds cost $45/mo. Last month when I went to refill they were charging $150+ for 30 day supply. I couldnt afford it so I didnt get it refilled. It keeps my heart regularly beating.
Are you on medicare with Rx insurance, and entered the 'donut hole'? That really hurts people on a monthly fixed income.
No, I do have Rx insurance. These costs are after insurance payment. As I just started with this new insurance the 'donut hole' doesnt apply here.
I wonder if you could buy it through some online Indian pharmacy, or something similar?

I completely understand that. My husband and I were crazy enough to get ivermectin that way. Haven't had any issues with it yet. Seems to have come in original packaging and all that. But there's always that fear in the back of my mind. However, if it's life saving and our shit corrupt medical establishment refuses to help, then it's worth the risks for us.
