The only difference between the Republican leadership and the Democrat leadership:
High popalowrum and Low popahighrum
With highpoplowrum, they skin you (skim) from the ear down and with low popahighrum, they skin you(skim) from the ankle up
There are some commonalities with POTUS in that both were hated by the MSM and the entrenched political establishment and both were loved by the common people.
In Louisiana, Hodding Carter, a newspaper editor, hated and I mean hated Long to the point of discussing Long's assassination. None of the other media brought up the fact though that Hodding Carter was a White supremacist who despised Black people.
Long, meanwhile was loved by Blacks and Whites who saw him as a sort of savior. He paved roads, provided free textbooks and free school lunches and built 113 bridges during his term when only 3 existed before.
Now, Long was not prefect, he leaned to Socialism because he saw that there was no way he could get his social programs passed with the GOP and Democrat leadership that existed at the time.

Thanks, will have to look it up. My husband's grandfather, Papa, basically made Huey Long. He died a couple of years before my husband and I began dating back in 1979. My area of study was history and I would have loved to have been able to ask him some questions.
I agree and definitely think because of this there was a conspiracy to murder him.
