At one point in the video, Jintao reaches to Xi in an apparent plea for help, but Xi only says something curt to him and never looks at him... a plain dismissal, a clear "just go away" gesture.

It reminds me of the scene in "The Godfather" when Salvatore Tessio (Sal) is taken by the Corleone thugs for his last ride for conspiring with another family to have Vito Corleone killed. He says, "Can you do something, Tom?" ....and Tom just says, "No can do, Sal, it's just business." Sal is never seen again, presumably killed and dumped.
