We could save ourselves alot of confusion if we just rename all the plagues for what they are. "The snots" "The runz" "The flying ralphs" And "The wheezy chunky hacks" Less science, more facts.
...have you considered going into medicine?
I used to work for a hospital. Flipping burgers. Can't tell you how many times some doc came to me not knowing how to fix his own problem. Their schooling amounts to so very little.
A lot of them are just parrots. No understanding on a deep level of the shit they read and regurgitate. It's why they're also so very prone to medical misinformation.
Absolutely correct. Most people see their docs for a checkup once a year but when was the last time your PCP actually examined you?
Used to be you'd lay on the table and doc would press your belly to feel your organs for enlargement or a hard mass. They used to check your reflexes, They used to check your eyes, ears, mouth and neck for swollen glands. My PCP doesnt even listen to my heart and lungs.
Nowadays they walk in the exam room and play with the computer. When I ask a question he looks it up in the computer. Finally I asked what med school he went to because I can google myself.
On 1 occasion I was referred to a specialist because my toes were blue. He walks in, types on computer and walks out. I stop him and say what about my toes. Only then did he stop, turn to look at my toes and said 'I dont know, come back in 6 months'.
