Like tension in a rope. Too much tension and you can't move, the rope will pull you immediately. (like the normies getting pulled by "the next thing".)

Too much slack and not paying attention and it'll rip you off your feet when the slack tightens. (like many of us getting pulled into a perpetual war off the lies of 9/11.)

But if you have enough slack and you watch the pullers, you can catch up to the puller before the rope ever tightens and punch him in his stupid face as if you never even had a rope pulling you at all.
