have some under etrade. decided to put 500down under CS. So I am understanding right. Etrade can just up and sell my stock but CS cant? im new to this and got GME as a meme over a year ago and forgot about it.

Correct. In brokers terms and conditions it states they can sell your stock without your consent. Computershare being the stock transfer agent of Gamestop, and not being a brokerage, can't do that.
