In AZ the SoS == Lt. Governor and runs on a separate ticket from Governor, so they can be different parties. Hobbs is not doing so well against Lake, so the Dems main hope is to elect Adrian Fontes as SoS. Fontes is the SOB who was responsible for the cheating in the last two elections. Consequently Finchem is the most viciously attacked of all the candidates. There is a referendum item on the ballot that would change this, the gubernatorial candidate would pick a Lt. Gov. candidate 60 days before the election. I think it may be a bad idea. The Dems have also put up Proposition 210 which would enshrine all the cheating strategies like same day registration and ballot harvesting, and are fighting another which would require real ID instead of a utility bill.
