Mobile, AL- 3 days ago most of downtown surrounding the government plaza including the district court house and FBI building were surrounded by police including SWAT. Absolutely no access to downtown including tunnels and all businesses and residential buildings were put on lockdown. Reports of shots being fired, use of tear gas, and shooter crashing his car into police cars before the man was found dead. Police claim they were not sure if the gunshot wound that killed him was self inflicted or if someone else shot him. This went on for 5 hours. Anyone that could have been a witness to the scene (including my pastor's wife and father in-law whose office is on the top floor of the government plaza and can clearly see and hear to the streets where said shootout took place) claim they didnt see or hear and shots fired or car crashes, just police cars and swat driving circles around the plaza and downtown area. The story itself makes no sense, no one has identified the shooter or his motive, and I'm automatically suspicious of any shootout where the suspect ends up dead/suicided.
