I have to wonder about Dan Rather. He dispensed a rather large red pill back in the day with "fake but accurate". From that point forward I started with the baseline assumption that all news was fake first. And looking back now, the whole episode seems so idiotic and contrived that it must've been comms. But comms for what purpose?
