Can someone explain why non jews get their sons circumcised in the US?

I believe the real reason people have their newborns sons circumcised is because a group of people need access to foreskin? I really don't understand why this procedure is common place.

It is billiable procedure. They will then sew the skins together and then sell it as a wallet that can turn into a suitcase.
