When I got a trademark, it had to be for a specific thing, like a tee shirt, and I had to show no one else was using it for that thing, or that my use was clearly different somehow, perhaps because of a logo or special design. For instance, every possible slogan has been the title of a book, if not also a song and movie, but maybe not a coffee blend. A slogan already in use seems too general. But it wouldn't hurt to start flooding the world with "white lives matter" in many applications, to make it even more general.
