It's a samurai costume. But the brain can give it any meaning you want it to. Don't let symbolism be your downfall. You're too smart.

Baphomet. Upside Down Cross. Clearly in zero way a Samurai armor, nor even if it were Ō-yoroi , no symbolism in use in Japanese culture up to the end of the age of the Samurai in the 1870s is even remotely similar to what is worked into this clearly western-fantasy inspired leather armor.
