One side is so far to the left in their disgusting and anti-human viewpoints that their center of balance is going to topple the country not unlike a disbalance drops a spinning top, while the other side, which is meant to counterbalance them, is recessive and is being pulled to the left.
We understand that, but he's not speaking to us. He's speaking to the people who don't actually understand what's going on, and using the basic logic of balance to try to sway them to a return of balance. The top must keep spinning; once it stops, we're done.
