Caruso switched to D in January of this year. Los Angeles mayoral races are considered non-partisan, so they don't have to list a party. He made the ole switcheroo in January and everyone still thinks he is a Republican.
It certainly doesn't hit the way it originally intended, but it does show that if we let the swamp/deep state fester for too long, we end up with really bad choices in leadership.

Bass is more progressive, but Caruso seems more swampy. Worst of both worlds, unless Caruso is deep undercover.
