Same, the people in Facebook groups being all "why haven't you left already" don't like it being pointed out that many of them are retirees who also bought at the top of the market in states with very overinflated real estate prices for the past couple years. Not having a portable job or income is an anchor to deal with plus the housing market was overheated and already crashing so we'd have immediately gone to being underwater somewhere else and rent is already rocketing up as well for those who sold their houses and went to rent instead.
Of course buts itโs not quite that easy for me with my business interests right now. The plan is two years.
