I lived in Big Bear. You think you are driving off that mountain right now? Do you have M/S tires? Going down the front way, or the back way? Back way road is narrower and tighter curves but you get to flatland a lot faster plus you are not on the fog and ice side of the mountain. Go out the baldwin lake way. Road comes out in lucerne valley and take hwy to Victorville. That said, I really recommend you stay put and not travel in the icy dark. You are risking a great deal.
