Oz was not a strong candidate outside of a primary environment. You don't get to just make a fool of yourself around groceries and get away with it, especially during a time of intense pinching. Look at what grocery mistakes did to Bush (original recipe) in 92. And all for a gallon of milk...
I know a guy who decided to not vote because Oz flubbed the Steelers game. It's insane.
Not saying that's a good decision to base your vote on, but it is more proof why running rich carpetbaggers with national name recognition is powerful in primaries and dangerous in generals.
