Seriously! I'm reminded that in the latter days of the Roman Empire, each new emperor was worse than the last one, from terrifying tyrants like Caligula an Nero, to weaker and weaker men who were amazingly like Oz and Fetterman. It seems all of our politicians right now are 2-dimensional cardboard cutouts of cartoon characters, and not a single statesman among them. Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Joe Biden Nancy Pelosi, AOC, and on and on.... they all seem like Batman villains, stupidly conceived, tone deaf, and every single one of them beholden to an outmoded paradigm of politics that MIGHT have worked in the late 20th Century, but is now so out of step with Americans that few take them seriously.

I sincerely HOPE we are watching a movie and that the end is coming soon. Only that would make any sense out of all this.
