Forty-two percent of America’s young-but-cynical Generation Z are dealing with a mental health condition, a new survey finds. A range of these issues were largely identified during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The analysis by Harmony Healthcare IT suggests tens of millions of Gen Z young adults started dealing with a mental health problem in the months immediately following the start of the global pandemic in March 2020. The Indiana-based data management company’s survey highlights a staggering percentage of young adults diagnosed with anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) during the pandemic.
Ive worked with autistic kids from 3-16 low-high functioning, verbal-non-verbal, and taught there parents for when I was there and eventual left. Have a masters degree in applied behavioral analysis (behavioral psychologist by trade) these are my nephews. I have given my sister advice starting three years ago. Didnt want to hear it blah blah. Now she is dealing with the craziness of unstructured kids and lack of parenting. Their father is just as bad. Now shes paying wazoo money and has told me i was right, but people are weird they dont want advice they would rather go through it and then have to pay for it. My Tai Chi master said never give something for free always charge $5 or more. Becus people see free and think its a bad product or service. Guess its the same with family. But not everyone has a stupid family.
