The republic has been usurped much longer than that. 1871 was an interesting year.

You watched the funeral for a treasonous scumbag who tried to steal our presidency and wound up dead for it and you think no one did anything? The expansion of gitmo was no small task and the reestablishment of federal executions by hanging and firing squad is a foreshadowing of the prizes awarded to those playing these games of treason and sedition.
