If you close off the relief valve the tank will eventually explode.

They will come for our guns soon so the exploding cant reach them.

This is a scenario that ends in complete and total anarchy. Not sure it’s even possible. Every martyr will add 1000s to the cause. Institutional government would collapse within weeks if not sooner. States would go to war over night.
