I don't think this is 100% true. They desperately wanted Hillary in. They desperately wanted Sanders in. They've wanted a lot of people they didn't get. The white hats are NOT letting them get in anyone they want.

I think 2016 was a much different environment, they took Trump lightly and it cost them. Plus they didn’t have the massive mail in voting of 2020 and 2022. They have upped their game considerably.
