Okay, so you were expecting 2014, but got 2012. There are other things than the congressional/governor scoreboard that matter here. Obviously, 2020 and 2022 need to be remedied before 2024. If you're worried about this, remember in 2016 fraud was stopped in just enough places.
As far as the hype messaging, it's sort of a theme lately if you've noticed. Overdoing literally everything is the left's trademark, so for Trump, it's effective to send their warped expectations to the stratosphere by countering with an equal level of sensationalism, and fun to then burst their bubble.
We know he's full of surprises and puts a lot of flair on certain announcements or events. And we know that the intended effect (media fail, etc) hits every time, the magnitude of which is the level of hype about the event minus the event.
Meaning, the hype and verbal one-upping has been astronomical and cringey leading up to the election, and a major announcement one week after Election Day while everyone's still watching the returns come in, that's going to turn some heads. In an information war, the ability to garner attention is very valuable.
Tonight's announcement was a declaration, and a policy speech, in a ballroom, on his turf.
So, it's not about his style or his indoor voice, it is about the message being sent. This is an incredibly emotional time for a lot of people, which is understandable. Everyone from all angles went into this announcement with a lot of feelings, so the important thing to look for in it is comms.
I don't want to convince you you're wrong, I want you to be able to convince yourself what you're right about and what you're wrong about.
You are correct sir and I thank you. My post was to get a few correct perspectives to answer my challenge and help others, as well as myself, to weather through high expectations and emotions.
By the next day, as folks like Uncle Clif, myself, and others had a chance to replay, review and study what was said, sunlight was spread to even the most doubting of thinkers.
As you said, emotions where running high, expectations high, but the trap was set for the black hats, the message, though for us, was far more of a mind warp to bad guys than to a few of us that were disappointed but understood what happened by the next day.
Thank you for your voice of reason, I am sorry you did not get voted up more.
