I agree to a point though for me “my own” refers more to cultural and moral values. My wife is not the same ethnicity but we have all our values and even upbringing in common. Same with many of my friends who are many different ethnicities. On the other hand there are many who “look” like me that I have absolutely nothing in common with. I’d have more in common with a black person who grew up poor and has conservative values than someone of my ethnicity who grew up rich and is a degenerate with no morals.
