Someone here said turkeys were horribly expensive where they live. Right now, Walmart has Honeysuckle White (I think they're much better than Butterball and have less sodium) for 99 cents a lb. Food Lion has Shady Brook Farms turkeys for 39 cents a pound. The store near me didn't have a lot left but it's a small store. Martins Foods (aka Giant in Pa. but not the same store as Giant Food in Virginia) has free Shady Brook Farms turkeys if you have 400 points in their rewards program. You can earn that many in one visit if you sign up and do two or three of their bonus points specials for the week. You can get another brand for $1 off if you don't want Shady Brook with your points.
Hope this helps if you're having trouble getting a turkey.
Costco has plenty of fresh Butterball @ .99 lb here. Dated for sale through the 25th. Multiple sizes. Frozen for sure at Safeway and Fred's and Walmart. Prices depending on your food purchase amount. You buy $150 at Fred's you get it free, otherwise like .59 lb. Walmart had some brand for .89 lb. Not as many as I've seen in years past, but enough for anyone looking.
Be sure to pick up one of those monster $5.99 pumpkin pies too at Costco.
Right?! It's on my list for tomorrow. 😊
It's a really good pie and so big! It's much better than the smaller ones at the other stores and theirs are the same price to $1 more. I was also drooling over the tuxedo cakes and caramel tres leches cakes. But I restrained myself. They had monster pecan pies too at the Costco here.
Those tuxedo cakes are sooo good!
