The sign for the world cup which appears all over shirts, clips, replays etc is this:

An '8' which has had special significance in dates recently (Queen, Abe, Midterms)

Also appears to look like an Ouroborus in many pics- the snake with it's head in it's own mouth- only twisted/distorted to form the 8.
