Why is rsv the thing everyone has? Even adults? I've only ever heard of babies getting it before. Seems odd that at the same time, I'm hearing ads in the grocery store urging adults to get the rsv vax.

Immune systems have been down regulated.
Also, most children get RSV by two primarily from other children, but children have been isolated for two years and now young children are getting it all at once.
Also, some type of pathogenic priming could be happening. In Moderna's children trials, there was a 400% increase in children getting RSV in the injection group over placebo. A similar phenomenon has been observed with flu vaccines.

Makes sense something similar would be happening in adults
