Yes we've all covered this before, but with the influx of normies as of late, I feel like we should give a general overview with a few example so they can see it themselves. So here's an example. With the whole legalizing gay marriage on the federal level bill being floated in the news lately, I decided to pick that as my target, but lo and behold I was presented with a gem that allows me to pick apart that, abortion, and several other topics.
So the "poll" being floated around as proof that the majority of people in the USA now support legalized gay marriage is from Grinnell College in Iowa. Here's a link to the actual "poll" so you can see it for yourself and not just read what others are saying about it.

Now I want you notice several of the many problems with this poll and that both prove it's inaccuracy, and show how they manipulate statistical data to fit whatever narrative they're pushing.
First and foremost, note that it's a weighted poll. Meaning it's already not a true representation since it's weighted in favor of certain demographics, almost certainly liberal leaning demographics.
Second, note that they intentionally picked a small sample size. 1,000 people apparently are able to accurately represent the beliefs and opinions of a country of 340 million people. Now I'm not saying I expect every poll to include hundreds of thousands of people for maximum accuracy, but try and say that such a small and easily manipulated sample size is an accurate representation of the American people is equally absurd. For clarification, that is only 20 people per state. 20 people. This "poll" is trying to accurately assess the beliefs of, for example, Texas, a state of just under 30 million, by polling 20 people.
Thirdly, notice how even of the 1,000 people surveyed, they immediately throw out more than a quarter of them based on "likely voter identification". Thus further skewing the results and increasing inaccuracies.
Fourthly, notice how they even surveyed more admitted democrats than republicans. Combine this with point 3 about them throwing out more than a quarter of the polling population, and it should be obvious this "poll" is heavily skewed to the left.
Fifthly, notice how they also intentionally polled more people in urban/suburban environments than rural or small towns. I also want you to note how they refused to provide what general areas the polled in. This is one of the easiest statistics to manipulate. Let's use Tennesse for example. Memphis is Urban, Germantown is Suburban, and Haywood county is Rural. Yet, all three "vote" heavily towards the left. By picking these three areas for Tennessee, you can manipulate the entire poll results of the state towards whatever your desired end goal using vague descriptions and cherry picking your polling areas.
Sixthly notice the religious identification part of the survey. I won't get into a rant about how the percentage of Americans that are Christian is a lie (hint it is), but for the sake of simplicity I'll just use the official statistic of 61%. So 61% of Americans are officially Christians, yet this poll is claiming to be an accurate representation of American's beliefs when only 25% of those polled are Christian and 71% are NOT Christian? And keep in mind, this include the people who were thrown out earlier, and I can almost guarantee they threw out more of the Christians than anything else.
Finally I want to point this out, they admit that they didn't evenly poll all 50 states in the final question. More people lived in a state with a democratic governor than a republican governor. And this was before the midterms, when we controlled roughly 30 of the 50 governorships in the country. Meaning they polled more people in the 20 states with democratic governors that the red states with republican governors. And even then, while I have no proof of this given their lack of transparency, they probably polled more in states with RINO governors like Maryland, Massachusetts, etc. Rather than deep red states like Idaho or Wyoming.
And yes, I know there's some points I didn't address, like how they technically claimed there were more republicans than democrat leaning voters in this poll, but that just further complicated things since they also claim there's more liberals than conservatives. Hence, it's all untrustworthy since the statistics conflict which each other.
I also didn't address the obvious factor that this polling population was probably much higher initially (since I have no proof other than this is how most survey companies do things these days), but then they trimmed it down until they could get the "correct" numbers in order to support their narrative.
For the record, there are a few other unidentifiable "polls/surveys" I've seen running around that I can't find any actual info on but are being claimed that are even more absurd and stupid than this. There was one that claimed that 70% of Idaho, 60% of Tennessee, and 65% of Oklahoma supported gay marriage and abortion. Keep in mind these three states have always been in the top 5 most religious states in the union for more than 50 years, and have actually gotten more religious and conservative as time has gone on. This same unidentifiable "survey" also said that every state in the union except Arkansas and Louisiana supported gay marriage and abortion.
If you actually believe either of these "polls or surveys" then you need to take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself if you've fallen back in the matrix.
THIS is how they manipulate reality, they create fake polls and surveys using shady methodology, the MSM runs stories about it and brainwashes people with the lies. Sheeple (including conservatives), just mindlessly believe it and accept it as reality, and then do nothing but complain about the world ending while politicians who are cheated into office create rules and laws in support of these fake polls and statistics that don't truly represent the will and beliefes of the people.
This isn't anything new either. They did the same thing in the Weimar Republic. That's how they turned Germany and Berlin into the second Sodom and Gamora. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, everything from pedophilia, to bestiality, ritualistic abortion, necrophilia, homosexuality, transsexualism, etc. was not only legal, but protected and openly encouraged under the Weimar Republic of pre nazi germany). Of course we know it was all a lie in the Weimar era of Germany, since the rise of Hitler and the Nazi's to power as a backlash response serves as proof that people overwhelmingly didn't agree with it all. But the point still stands.
Fake news isn't a new phenomenon. It's how the cabal has been manipulating people's reality for hundreds of years. And every now and then, the populace reaches a breaking point where they refuse to just accept the fake reality. We're quickly approaching that "precipice" right now in the USA.
Good post. Bump!
Well done! Well said!
The built in biases are all examples of sampling "error," in quotes because it wasn't an honest error but a deliberate push. This is the crux of many misleading numbers. It's a big chunk to take in at once for those who are unfamiliar with how the sausage is made. The concept of sampling and how it can go wrong, deliberately or not, could be explained in memes as a general groundwork for specific expositions like this one.
